Quick Answer: Which Weapons Are Confirmed?
Launch screenshots document seven weapon lines: two swords (Alloy Sword, Steel Dagger), two wands (Stone Wand, Serpent Wand), one hammer (War Hammer), one club (Wood Club), and your own Fist — which has its own achievement. Every weapon lists DMG plus a per-swing resource cost, and quality caps vary by item (0/10 on one dagger, 0/20 on most).

Melee vs Wand: Two Resource Bars
Blades, hammers and clubs pay stamina (SP) per swing; wands pay mana (MP) and often add small SP or HP riders (the Serpent Wand lists +2 SP, one pickup variant +3 HP). The practical split: melee is the stamina-sustainable default, wands are the burst-and-buff toolkit. The Warrior/Mage class choice tilts which bar you build around — the builds guide covers the split.
Shields: Block, Stun, Durability
Shields are a weapon class of their own. The Metal Buckler blocks 60% with a Stun 24 SP rider and 6,000 durability; the Metal Oval Shield reaches 70% block with 7,000 durability; the Wooden Heater Shield starts at 20% block and 2,000 durability. Block percentage, stun riders and durability pools are the three numbers to compare — the shield page of your choice should outlast the fight, not the trip.
The Bare-Fisted Path
Fist is a real weapon line — the HUD lists it (14 DMG, 8 SP as seen) — and the Bare Hands achievement (1.1%) rewards winning with it. The internal key the Steam API exposes is literally FISTS_ONLY: somewhere in this game, someone is beating dragons with gloves. This site salutes them and recommends a very good shield.
