Crawler 3D Guide

Walkthrough - Every Area, Sub-Zone by Sub-Zone

A complete Crawler 3D walkthrough: all ten areas from Town to the Cursed Castle, what each numbered sub-zone holds, the quest lines, and the road to the story's ending.

Quick Answer: What Is the Route Through Crawler 3D?

Town is the hub; the Dangerous Dungeon is the tutorial crawl; the Old Mine unlocks fast travel; the Rocky Desert, Sandy Beach and Abandoned Forest carry the mid-game; the Slimy Sewer, Active Caldera and Ghastly Glacier hold the late quest lines; and the Cursed Castle ends the required story. Launch-week achievement data (31% down to 0.1%) traces that route — the castle sits behind everything else.

The Early Bracket: Dungeon, Mine, Desert, Beach

  • Dangerous Dungeon (5 sub-zones): the tutorial crawl. Sweep every secret (3-4 per floor), mine the cave crystals, and end the Dungeon Master (LVL 13) — your first Source of Corruption achievement.
  • Old Mine (1 of 1): short, single-floor, crystal-rich. Mine for the portal network (Crystals for a Portal) and survive the Mimic Spider ambushes (LVL 81!).
  • Rocky Desert (5 sub-zones): open canyon sightlines, gold-veined floors, the Dehydrated Hydra (LVL 20) and Pythons. Wands shine here.
  • Sandy Beach (5 sub-zones): shelled brawls — the Hermit Crab (LVL 40, 697 HP) is the durability check. Crates and barrels pay the walk.

The Mid Bracket: Forest, Caldera

The Abandoned Forest (5 sub-zones) is the pack-fight zone: Stag Beetles burn under Fireball, the Death Bunny (LVL 50, 905 HP) punishes melee greed, and the Sasquatch ambushes from the trees. Its quest — Through the Abandoned Forest — is the last quest most launch-week players finished (3.4%). The Active Caldera (5 sub-zones) is the errand zone: lava fields, red skies, and A Delicate Errand's gold ring (5.7%) — the transition achievement between mid and late game.

The forest and beach reward different builds — loadout presets are named after areas in the combat log ("forest magic", "Beach Kill"). Build both.

The Late Bracket: Sewer, Glacier, Castle

The Slimy Sewer (5 sub-zones) ends at the Giant Tapeworm (LVL 72, 1,344 HP) — the strongest non-boss enemy documented. The Ghastly Glacier (5 sub-zones) holds the Ice Dragon (LVL 61), Polar Bear and Frozen Jelly under whiteout fog, with the Cleanse the Ghastly Glacier quest at 1.1%. The Cursed Castle is the finale: the castle's source of corruption (Regal Ruin) gates The Last Shadow — the story's ending, held by 2.2% of launch-week players.

After the Story: Veteran and Run 2+

The credits are not the end. Veteran difficulty replays the whole story harder (Veteran achievement, 1.1%). Run 2+ clears of permanent areas (Return, Bolder, 0.1%) and second runs of every dungeon (Monster Hunter, 0.1%) are the completionist mountain — and the level-100 grind's best friend. The arena keeps its own boss waves (Wave Breaker). Plan the second lap around achievements you missed the first time.
