The Glacier's Apex

The Ice Dragon is the Ghastly Glacier's apex encounter: a LVL 61 frost dragon (1,146 HP in the official screenshot) roaring between ice walls in "Ghastly Glacier 5 of 5". The developer's "Dragon Hammer Time" clip shows the hammer-side answer; the Alloy Sword (187 DMG, 30 SP) in the same screenshot is the sword-side answer.

How to Fight One

The official loadout pairs the Alloy Sword with a Metal Buckler (Block -60%) — a shield-first duel in the fog. The dragon's size makes its attacks telegraphed but heavy; block the breath and swipes, then answer with the biggest single-hit weapon you carry. The turn counter in the screenshot (TURNS: 537) tells you this fight can be a marathon.

Fog cuts both ways: the dragon at the edge of visibility is closer than the grid suggests. Step, look, then commit — never two steps blind.

Where It Fits

It is the strongest enemy documented on the glacier, bracketing the area alongside the Polar Bear. The Cleanse the Ghastly Glacier quest line (1.1% in launch week) routes through its territory — most players meet the dragon with the story's end already in sight.
