Troll Character Guide

Trolls appear in the Dangerous Dungeon's torchlit halls — the developer's "Trolling a Troll" clip shows one taken down in the stone corridors, with the shield raised for most of the exchange. They are among the first heavy melee enemies the crawl throws at a new player.

The clip shows the pattern that works: block the opening swing (shields like the Metal Buckler list a Block -60% value), then answer with your own melee while the troll recovers. Turn-based pacing is the advantage — you always get one prepared action before it moves again.

Rated Medium on this site's threat scale: heavy hits, slow pace, and no ranged tricks. A new player with a blocking shield and a mid-tier weapon wins the war of attrition every time.
